Nazar has a mixed practice of civil, commercial and family law, with a particular focus on complex commercial disputes and financial remedy proceedings where there are assets in multiple jurisdictions, including offshore trusts. He has also accumulated extensive experience in Immigration Law from his earlier years of practice.

He was described as a patient advisor with a vast amount of experience and encyclopaedic knowledge in conferences where he provides accurate, pragmatic, commercial and sensible advice, and a fearless fighter in courts with a cogent, eloquent and persuasive advocacy style. His clients praise his down-to-earth approach, being very adept at communicating with different types of clients, as well as his tenacity in litigation, being able to determine the best solutions in a case and developing detailed strategies to corner the opponents and secure his clients’ goals.

Nazar conducts litigation and attends hearings himself for most of his clients, without the involvement of solicitors, where he maintains a firm grasp of all crucial details and fully understands his clients’ needs throughout cases, whilst cutting down the legal costs, often substantially.

Al specialises in the areas of judicial review, professional discipline and regulatory law, employment, commercial and company law.

He was widely acclaimed for his successful landmark Supreme Court challenge to the Government’s policy against under 21 marriages, which lead to the Supreme Court holding that the policy was contrary to a couple’s right to respect for family life under the European Convention on Human Rights. In his unnerving pursuit to prevent the Government’s attempt to dilute the protection stemming from the 1951 Refugee Convention, Al successfully challenged the Government’s failure to recognise the human rights abuses in Bangladesh and their unlawful designation of the country as a “safe” country. In the European Court of Human Rights, he challenged the UK government in relation to whether the rule prohibiting a director from representing a company in the courts was compatible with Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

In the area of professional discipline, Al provides representation to a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, dentists and accountants at all levels of proceedings. Al has taken part in various reported cases in the field of regulatory law before the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Al has successfully argued cases ranging from the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court to the European Court of Human Rights.  Al has a diverse practise spanning the legal spectrum and is happy to receive instructions in general common law. Al’s resume speaks volumes regarding his continued technical excellence, commitment and enthusiasm.

Razzaq was called to the Bar in 1980. After practising for a few years in the Bar of England and Wales,  he went to Bangladesh and became a senior advocate in the Supreme Court. In the three decades since the commencement of his practice in Bangladesh in 1986, Mr. Razzaq has built up a substantial constitutional/administrative law practice, and been involved in numerous high profile public law cases which have had a lasting impact in the legal arena.

He represented foreign and local clients in a variety of commercial disputes in  the  civil  courts  as  well  as  in  arbitration  proceedings,  with  particular  expertise  in international  trade  and  commerce.  Mr Razzaq was also  engaged  in all  major litigations involving issues of Shariah in the banking sector. Chambers and Partners (Asia Pacific,  2014)  described  him  as  having  ‘a  longstanding  reputation  for  litigation  and Islamic  financing  work.’ As  a  specially  appointed  counsel  of  the  National  Board  of Revenue,  he  has  represented  the  Bangladesh  VAT  and  Customs  authorities  in  the Supreme Court in numerous customs, VAT and Income tax cases. As  Senior  Partner  of The  Law  Counsel  (which  is a  TRACE  Partner  Firm), he prepared and updated country reports and guidelines on anti-corruption issues. Mr Razzaq advised the largest private bank in Bangladesh regarding allegations of counter terrorism financing operations made  by  the  U.S.  Senate Permanent Sub Committee on Investigations.

He has returned to England in 2015 and resumed his practice, and has achieved numerous success in Human Rights and Asylum claims. He is regarded as an expert in Asylum matters. His areas of practise includes Immigration, Judicial Review and Civil Litigation.

Jerry has over 25 years experience as a practicing lawyer. In England and Wales,  Jerry’s areas of practice covers mainly criminal cases involving possession of drugs, sexual offences, cases involving fraud, offences against the persons, domestic violence cases, robbery, public order and prison offences and road traffic offences as well as violent crimes involving youths. He also handles mixed civil law cases in County Courts across London.

In Nigeria, Jerry represented both private and corporate clients regularly before Nigerian courts and his area of expertise covers Administration of Estates law, Wills and Probate , Recovery of Possession of premises. Recovery of debts and general civil litigation matters.

Jerry also renders legal advice and opinions to clients on the law and various legal issues relating to their cases with regards to Nigerian Law and is available for cross border instructions.

In addition to this, Jerry recently helped to facilitate a three- day advanced training of police prosecutors on trial preparation, witness handling and general advocacy at Placencia in Belize. The said training was part of the Comprehensive Justice Sector Capacity Building Program of the United States Embassy in Belmopan.

Ravi was called to the Bar by Inner Temple and after completing pupillage was appointed a Crown Prosecutor.

Serving with the CPS until 1993 he then transferred to the Solicitors’ profession and for several years undertook locum advocacy and litigation work with a number of different law firms. Specialising in crime and immigration, by 1999 he had gained sufficient experience and confidence to take on the challenge of acquiring and managing his own firm. Having practised as a Solicitor for over 25 years Ravi successfully returned to the Bar in 2019 and became a Barrister once more.

The firm rapidly attracted an enviable reputation for its excellent standard of client care, expanded its portfolio, secured contracts from the LSC for publicly funded criminal defence work and increased recruitment to its hard-working team of advocates and duty solicitors for police station and magistrates’ court representation. Ravi was nominated for the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Award.

Nicholas is a committed advocate, providing advice and representation in immigration and criminal law. He specialises in challenging immigration detention, and has enjoyed success in many contentious cases. Nicholas represents appellants before the First-tier and Upper Tribunals. His immigration caseload comprises Article 8, deportation, and judicial review matters, and he has a particular interest in cases concerning children’s rights.

Nicholas has advised and represented numerous clients experiencing difficult and distressing circumstances, including separation from children and serious health problems. He is able to discuss sensitive matters compassionately and to advise on complex legal issues in a way that is comprehensive and accessible.

Prior to undertaking pupillage, Nicholas trained as an OISC immigration advisor with Bail for Immigration Detainees (BiD), where he helped to establish their Prison Project. He now frequently represents clients on behalf of BiD, and also the Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RaMFEL), on a pro bono basis.

Jala is an experienced barrister and litigator who has a broad spectrum of practice ranging from complex multi-million pound civil and commercial disputes to high net worth financial remedy disputes in the High Court.

Jala conducts litigation for majority of her clients and she is known for her aggressive approach to litigation and her ability to advise and represent clients at all stages of the litigation process. She is described as ‘leaving no stone unturned’. Jala advises on all forms of commercial litigation such as Worldwide Freezing Orders, contractual disputes, allegations of fraud, applications for injunctive relief and other forms of dispute.

Jala is also a leading barrister in family law and her busy practice includes a wide variety of cases, including allegations of domestic violence, coercion and control, coaching, parental alienation. She is regularly instructed to attend fact finding hearings and final hearings and is vastly experienced in drafting final agreements. Jala is very experienced in advising and representing clients in relation to various injunctive remedies before the family courts including contested applications for non-molestations orders, occupation order and prohibited steps orders.

Jala’s divorce and financial settlement practice sees her representing clients throughout proceedings from FDA, FDR to Final Hearings. She has worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and is experienced in dealing with various cultural issues arising from divorce proceedings. Jala also accepts instructions on TOLATA cases.

With a reputation for delivering results, Jala is recognised for her ability to distil complex legal issues into understandable terms for clients. She is well known for her excellent client skills and has been described by her clients and colleagues as a fearless barrister, sympathetic to her clients and consistently meticulous in her work.

Jala brings a wealth of experience to her practice who believes in resolution without recourse to court proceedings, wherever possible. Jala has engaged in various alternative dispute resolutions such as mediation and has been able to successfully defend her clients against well-resourced and difficult opponents by negotiating favourable settlements for her clients.

Priyamvada was called to the bar by Middle Temple in 2017. Prior to joining chambers, Priyamvada was involved in pro-bono work with the National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV).

She is instructed regularly defending and prosecuting at the Magistrates Court and Crown Court, in matters related to assault, domestic violence, and road traffic offences amongst others.

Priyamvada has extensive experience in dealing with domestic violence cases, including issuing/defending non-molestation and or occupation order applications, as well as child contact proceedings. Her practice also covers Immigration matters including political asylum and Human Rights.

Priyamvada is a qualified Indian Advocate, enrolled with the Delhi High Court and is a native speaker of Hindi.

Omar is a specialist in Criminal Law. He completed his pupillage in-house at a successful criminal law firm prior to joining Legis Chambers. He achieved a First Class in his Law LLB and successfully completed the BPTC at City Law School before being called to The Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2017.

He regularly appears in courts defending a wide range of criminal offences, including road traffic offences, multi-defendant drug conspiracies, murder, serious sexual offences as well as other violent offences. He has also accumulated extensive experience in Criminal Litigation through working closely with litigation counsels in chambers and previous experience in the law firm.

In addition, he also practises in the areas of Family and Immigration law. He has a strong client following and is particularly known for his exceptional client care skills.

Rehmaan graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Economics and Politics before completing his GDL and later his BPTC at Cardiff University, for which he received a Very Competent. He was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2018.

Rehmaan has worked in Parliament and was elected to serve as a Councillor in May 2017. In his role as a Councillor, he represents his constituents, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are dealt with effectively.

In his spare time, Rehmaan enjoys travelling and playing sports; particularly cricket and rugby.

Prior to being called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of The Middle Temple in March 2020, Saad was practising as a Solicitor with higher rights of audience, when he had gained extensive experience in the area of Family Law. He appeared in courts on a regular basis for his clients in domestic violence, child arrangement and financial remedy matters.

Saad also specialises in the areas of Business, Crime and Civil Litigation. He runs a pro-bono clinic and is also a trustee of two charities he co-founded, one of which is focused on interfaith giving members a safe place so they can socialise and learn and encouraging the youth to get off the streets and give them purpose.

Saad read Law at City University of London and holds a BSc in Banking Practice and Management from The London School of Banking and Finance, and an MSc in Business and Law from The University of Law, London. He is also a member of the Law Society’s accreditation scheme in the area of Family.

Sarah was called to the Bar in 1998 by Lincoln’s Inn. She had a varied practice at the Bar for 11 years including serious crime, immigration and civil law in London and Manchester before working in-house in the technology sector. She headed up the Asia desk at a leading law firm in the UK, advising corporates, governments and C-level executives to drive cross-border legal and business operations. Sarah has an international commercial law background, and brings a wide-ranging understanding of different types of law.

Sarah has a keen intellect and is able to read and analyse a case quickly and effectively to identify the core issues and present them effectively to a client, judge or jury. She has appeared for the claimant and defendant in all levels of personal injury cases in a range of road traffic, public liability and employers’ liability cases, and accepts instructions for general civil law including contract, property and company law.

Sarah has also prosecuted and defended serious drugs cases, violent and sexual offences in the Crown Court. She accepts instructions for prosecution and defence work in the Magistrates and Crown Court. She brings with her years of expertise to give clear, pragmatic advice to professional and lay clients to bring about the best result for the case.

Sarah is bilingual in English and Mandarin and various Chinese dialects.

Sadia enjoys a broad practice of Immigration Law, Family Law, Employment Law and general civil litigation. She welcomes all instructions within her expertise.Sadia is regularly instructed by the solicitors to represent clients in the immigration tribunals. Her practice includes the Human Rights Act , EU law, settlement, entry clearance, point-based applications, judicial review claims, unlawful detention and bail applications.In the area of Family Law, Sadia has experience in all areas of family law, including child contact proceedings, divorce, ancillary relief, non-molestation orders and prohibited steps orders.

Sadia is also able to accept instructions in fast track and multi-track trials, and can see matters right from inception, at the pre-action stage, through to trial, as well as dealing with consequential matters such as enforcement and costs challenges at detailed assessment hearings. Sadia’s expertise includes co-ownership and ToLATA claims; breach of trust/breach of fiduciary duty claims; estoppel claims; undue influence and constructive trust claims; freezing orders, breach of contract claims and employment law.

Sadia is qualified under the BSB Public Access scheme and is also authorised to conduct litigation directly for members of the public.

Prior to joining the Bar, Hanif practised as a solicitor and accumulated extensive litigation experience experience in the commercial sector. His practice also covers landlord & tenant and personal injury matters, as well as general chancery work.

Hanif is authorised to conduct Direct Access work and described by his clients as friendly and very approachable.

Michael’s practice focuses on legal advice, litigation and dispute resolution in the fields of commercial and construction law. Since joining Legis Chambers he has assisted in various business to business and business to consumer claims involving breach of contract, negligence, bailment of goods, civil fraud and intellectual property.

Michael is appreciated by clients for his ability to handle and present factually and legally complex issues.

John regularly appears in court in a variety of criminal cases defending as well as prosecuting cases as a CPS Level 1 Panel Advocate. In 2023, John was enlisted as outside counsel for His Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (HMCPSI) to review disclosure compliance by the Serious Fraud Office for a report commissioned by the Attorney General, which will be published in 2024.

John’s focus is crime as well as human rights, and he is accepting instructions in immigration and extradition casework. He is a tireless advocate who is described by clients as “exceedingly prepared for trial…highly skilled in advocacy” and “a masterful cross-examiner.” John has secured acquittals for clients in criminal cases as well as convictions for the Crown, including in cases where the Crown’s only witness became hostile by the time of trial.

In addition to being qualified in England and Wales, John is admitted to the Bar in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

John has amassed significant trial experience. He previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for several years before opening his own law practice defending juveniles in delinquency proceedings, adults in criminal proceedings, and families in care and protection cases against the local authority.  John was called to the Bar at Middle Temple and is also a member (ad eundem) of Inner Temple where he volunteers as a Pupils’ Advocacy Trainer.

In 2019, John was awarded a Pegasus Scholarship by the American Inns of Court. As one of only two American Attorneys annually selected to travel to the United Kingdom to study the legal systems in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, John became the first Pegasus Scholar in the programme’s 30-year history to join the English Bar as a practicing barrister.  He completed his pupillage at Legis Chambers, during which he organised a lecture to legal practitioners and members of the press on the civil case then pending against Prince Andrew in New York and advocated for settlement of the claim. He was interviewed by The Telegraph and by Pakistani Television, and subsequently published an article on the topic in Counsel Magazine.

Fiaz was called to the Bar in 2011. His areas of practice include general civil litigation (commercial, contract, landlord and tenant, debt recovery, housing, possession). He is also developing a practice in employment law as well as family law with a particular emphasis on financial claims, non molestation orders and child contact arrangements.

He is a client-focused and result-driven lawyer who is well experienced in fast track and multi track claims. He regularly represents clients in the County Courts and Family Courts.

Fiaz is also often instructed to draft pleadings and other contentious and non contentious legal documents. He previously worked for a leading consultancy firm where he drafted various commercial agreements ranging from joint venture and partnership agreements, share purchase agreements and agreements for the sale, marketing and supply of goods and services.

Muhammad has extensive experience in all of Chambers’ core practice areas, including Civil and Commercial disputes, Landlord and Tenant matters, as well as Trust, Will and Estate. He also practices in the areas of Construction and Deformation.

Apart from his main practice in the United Kingdom, Muhammad manages his own law practice in the jurisdiction of Pakistan, where he has retained the higher court right of the audience. Over the span, Muhammad has built a substantial practice in Civil, Commercial and Corporate Law and has been involved in numerous high-profile cases in the higher courts of Pakistan.

Through such extensive and substantial exposure, Muhammad has developed the ability to formulate well-reasoned arguments while conveying a sense of confidence and purpose in the court.

Yousuf has over ten years of experience in International Commercial Arbitration. He was engaged as the lead counsel in many arbitration cases before the institutional and Adhoc tribunals constituted under the ICC, HKIAC and SIAC rules for the resolution of disputes arising out of Aviation, Energy and Sale of Goods matters. Yousuf was also instructed in a PCA arbitration in 2018, along with an English KC. Prior to his call to the Bar of England and Wales, Yousuf practised as an Advocate before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh for over 15 years, where he dealt with Company, Admiralty, Income Tax, VAT and Custom matters in writ jurisdiction.

Yousuf is widely known for his skill in International Trade Financing disputes in Banking sector especially with regard to dispute arising out of UCP 600, URC 522, UDRG 758 and so on.

His areas of specialisation encompass Corporate, Commercial, Admiralty, Contracts and International Commercial and Investment Arbitration.

Adam was called to the Bar in 2022 after a successful transfer as a foreign lawyer.

He obtained a nine months reduction in his pupillage in recognition of his knowledge and experience from his international practice, including representing clients who have been designated by the United Nations 1267 Sanctions Committee and assisting a King’s Counsel relating to charges of terrorism committed in foreign jurisdictions.

Adam’s main practice areas include prosecuting and defending in serious crime and motoring offence cases, as well as general civil disputes, such as landlord tenant matters, land/boundary disputes, contract disputes and trust related claims.

John joined Chambers as a tenant after successfully completing his pupillage under the supervision of Nazar Mohammad. John read law at Cardiff University and graduated with First Class Honours in LLB Law. He went on to complete his Barrister Training Course with Distinction. John has a broad civil and commercial practice. His core practice areas include personal injury, negligence, tort, landlord and tenant, housing disrepair, commercial, common law, trusts and contract law. He regularly appears in County Court, acting for both the claimant and defendant in fast-track trials, small claims, stage 3 hearings, disposal hearings, possession hearings and interim applications.

During his pupillage, he assisted with complex civil and family trials worth millions of pounds, so is well versed in all aspects of multi-track trials and civil and family procedures.

John’s other practice area includes employment law. John has extensive experience in dealing with claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination. John is regularly instructed to advise on liability and quantum and to draft pleadings in employment and personal injury matters.

John also accepts instructions in family law to deal with divorce applications, financial relief applications and matters relating to children.

John is also instructed regularly to deal with RTA matters in the Magistrates Court and Crown Court.

John pays attention to details and is a persuasive advocate. He has a track record of securing satisfactory outcomes for clients. John has been known to be approachable and very client-focused. In addition to English, John also converses fluently in Mandarin, Malay, and Taiwanese Hokkien.

Sugun has a wider range of experience in all areas of common law including a vast experience of the daily pressures faced by Solicitors and of a valuable insight into client care from a different prospective.  Such experience specialised her in dealing with lay and professional clients with professional manner while working under pressure.

Sugun’s initial training at the Bar was in Family law and since qualifying, she has worked on cases involving various aspects of asylum, immigration and human rights law, general criminal law, family law and housing law.   Sugun’s practice includes, commercial law, including international business, contract, employment, international human rights, landlord and Tenant, licensing, money, private and charity Trust law and tort matters.

Recently Sugun has developed a growing High Court practice in matters relating to Immigration and Asylum law by drafting successful grounds for Judicial Review or representing at permission hearings.

Mary has joined Chambers as a Door Tenant.

Mary was called to the Bar in 2005. She is approved by the Bar Council to practice as a Public Access Barrister and is a registered Pupil Supervisor. Her practice is predominantly in the South West. However, is often seen at the Principal Registry of the Family Division in London.

Mary has a busy practice in Private Family Law Act proceedings. She is regularly instructed via Public Access on a broad range of family matters including matrimonial finance. Her exceptional client care skills mean that she is accomplished at gaining the trust of clients and working with them in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

In private law children matters, Mary is regularly instructed to act for parents [respondents and applicants] in Child Arrangement Order applications. Due to her good witness handling and effective cross-examination skills, she is regularly instructed in very difficult Fact-Finding hearings.

In Matrimonial finance matters, Mary has a busy practice and has successfully represented clients at all stages of financial remedy proceedings. She always favours achieving a settlement which works best for her clients. As such, she is noted for her ability to give practical and robust advice at every stage of the proceedings.

Akbar was called to the bar in 2000. His area of expertise lies in the field of Immigration, family and criminal Law, as well as banking and corporate law using the means of mediation, negotiation and arbitration.

Akbar has practising experience both in the UK and Bangladesh. Shortly after becoming a barrister, Akbar decided to move to Bangladesh where he practised in the Supreme Court in both High Court Divisions and Appellate Division with a vast number of local and foreign clients in the field of civil and other related proceedings. Being a part of the legal team of several Ministers, politicians and business magnets made him capable of handling very high profile cases. Alongside he is quite known for being the writer and researcher of more than 30 law textbooks and being the editor of 2 widely used law journals where his knowledge about almost every area of law is clearly reflected.

He always tries to resolve matters not only in the courtroom but also outside the court using the methods of ADR. He is a lawyer who puts his client’s interest above everything. He is currently a door tenant in chambers.

Shahid is approved by the Bar Councils of England and Wales to practice through the Public Access Scheme. He is also an Authorised Litigator. His practice is in: Civil, Business, Corporate, Contract, Employment, Immigration & Asylum, Family, Housing, Company Law and Sales of Goods and Consumer Credit Laws. He has been instructed to conduct trails as well as to act on a number of complex cases and has never failed to impress his clients with the depth and breadth of his knowledge of law.

Shahid is an “International Lawyer” and has appeared in the international courts as well as in England and Wales’ High Courts, County Court including Small Claims Courts and Family Court hearings. He has 43 years of business experience and is a graduate from the California State University, East Bay with MBA’s in: Supply Chain Management, Operations and Materials Management, Corporate Finance and International Business Management.

Shahid has a loyal following of clients. He is known to be an efficient and is well organised in his work.

Abdullah has extensive experience in both criminal and civil law. He has assisted in several large VHCCs, including working in the defence case of the Head of an International Organised Crime Syndicate, in the largest drugs’ cultivation conspiracy in Europe-(R v. D & Others) at the Central Criminal Court. In the summer of 2014, Abdullah successfully completed a secondment at the United Nations’ ‎International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, in Trial Chambers 1, which provided him with an excellent insight into international criminal and humanitarian law in practice.

Having worked as a County Court Advocate for almost 2 and a half years, Abdullah has been regularly instructed in possession hearings, landlord & tenant work, debt recovery enforcement, bankruptcy work, return of goods and road traffic accident claims, infant approval hearings, small claims’ trials and general civil litigation.

Abdullah is qualified as a grade one prosecutor. He is furthermore registered to undertake direct access work.

He is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi as well as being able to speak conversational French and Arabic.

Prior to joining us, Raja was a Legal Counsel for Comfort Care Services, heading their legal department.

Raja has an extensive academic background in which he has successfully completed a LLB Hons, LLM General Law, the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) and Accredited Mediator course (ADR Group).

He has a knowledge in various areas of Law in his six years of practice, especially in Immigration and Civil Law. He is able to build rapport with clients and provides excellent client care. He prides himself on providing sensible advice in his realistic and approachable manner.

Benoit was first called to the bar by Inner Temple in 1982 and has extensive experience practicing as a barrister.

Ben specialises in civil and criminal law and has been instructed for legal drafting and court room advocacy in landlord and tenant cases, small to fast track claims, personal injury claims as well as interim injunction matters. He also represents his clients in Magistrates and Crown Court in criminal cases.

Ben accepts instructions by direct access.

Salleh is a friendly and approachable barrister who combines energy and intellectual rigour with a practical appreciation of what is required in any given case.

Salleh is registered to undertake direct access work but he also enjoys working with solicitors and meeting clients. He is regularly praised for his sensitive client skills.

Salleh has a mixed common law practise and accepts instructions in line with Chamber’s main practise areas.  He regularly appears in Crown Courts, the High Court, County Courts and Magistrates Courts.

Jonathan is a very experienced barrister. He has honed his skills over nearly three decades in the profession. His practice consists of Immigration, Civil Law and Family, with a sound background in Criminal Law. Having studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies for his LLB he developed an interest in Immigration Law early on and has had a successful practice in that area  as a result of that. He regularly appears before the First Tier Tribunal, the Upper Tribunal and at Judicial Review hearings. In tandem with this, he has always maintained his Civil and Family practice, appearing often at the Count Court, Family Court and High Court throughout his career. His practice in Criminal Law has consisted of both defence and prosecution.

Ahmad is a SC (Security Cleared) Barrister who specialises in human rights and public law, with an emphasis on immigration, asylum, nationality and EU law. He is also familiar with family, crime, regulatory (Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal) and civil litigation. Ahmad has appeared at all levels. He has appeared in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, Upper Tribunal, and the First Tier Tribunal.

Ahmad represents private clients, corporate clients and governmental departments such as the Government Legal Department, as a member of the Attorney General’s Junior Junior Panel, the Home Office as counsel in the First tier Tribunal and the Crown Prosecution Service as a prosecuting counsel. He has also been instructed by the Ministry of Defence to work on matters with the Foreign Commonwealth Office and the Serious Fraud Office.  He has appeared in more than 1000 appeal hearings and also specialises in resolving matters at the administrative review, pre-action stage or by way of fresh applications. Ahmad also assists Solicitors with advising about applications and drafting covering letters for applications and correspondence, which are often used as templates.

Zami has a mixed practice with an emphasis on serious and organised crime and Immigration Law.

Zami has been involved as junior counsel in a number of high-profile murder and fraud cases and achieved favourable results for his clients. He also has extensive experience in Immigration tribunals. Before being called to the Bar, Zami was a level-3 OISC advocate specialising in complex asylum and immigration referrals from other practitioners for specialist advice and advocacy.

Zami’s practice also covers landlord and tenant. trust and insolvency matters.

Zami is Direct Access accredited and currently works as a door tenant at chambers.

Prior to joining Legis Chambers, Dingyue achieved outstanding grades in Materials Science and Engineering at Beihang University in China and later on went to study at Oxford University.

Dingyue is specialised in civil & commercial litigation, as well as matrimonial proceedings. Over the years working at Legis, Dingyue has intensely involved with numerous complex civil and commercial disputes and received very positive feedback from his clients and colleagues.

Dingyue is very client-focused and is a native Chinese (Mandarin) speaker.

Zayed graduated from Middlesex University. Before starting his pupillage at Legis Chambers, he successfully completed his BPC and LLM in legal clinical practice at the University of Law.

Part of his LLM legal clinical practice required him to work on cases ranging from Housing disputes, Landlord and Tenant matters and Employment. He had successfully assisted in cases of disrepair and unlawful deduction of tenancy deposits and secured the desired outcome for the clients. He further achieved a favourable outcome in an employment case, assisting his client, who had been constructively dismissed, to be reinstated with his original position at work through their employer’s conduct.

Zayed is originally from the United Arab Emirates and can converse fluently in Arabic as well as in reading and writing. He had shown great tenacity and continues to do so through his pupillage.

Prior to joining Legis Chambers, Waqar worked at a busy firm in southwest London, working alongside senior barristers and solicitors. Waqar joined the firm as a paralegal and was later promoted to the role of senior caseworker after successfully passing his Level 2 accreditation exam.

Waqar has conducted over 200 immigration cases. He was regularly instructed in immigration appeals in the First Tier Tribunal and has worked on cases concerning asylum, humanitarian protection, Articles 3 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, and trafficking, where he received praises from judges for his advocacy.

Waqar is keen to build his practice during his pupillage in other areas of law, such as family and civil litigation. He has previously volunteered at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, assisting with non-molestation and occupation orders. Further, he has previously been involved in an unlawful compensation claim of substantial value.

Waqar is known for his dedication to cases and believes that the best interests of clients are best served with continuity of attention and care.

Taura started her pupillage at Legis Chambers in June 2023.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Taura worked as a County Court Advocate at LPC Law, where she attended over 400 hearings, covering a wide range of County Court hearings, such as civil litigation (including Small Claims trials), Mortgage Possessions and Applications, landlord and tenant matters, consumer credit and debt recovery & enforcement, bankruptcy, and personal injury (including Infant Settlement hearings), and accumulated extended knowledge and experience in these areas of law.

Andrew graduated from Swansea University with an MA in War and Society and a BA in Ancient History and History. As an experienced legal administrator, he has worked in the field for 7 years encompassing a broad range of specialties such as immigration, commercial, property, construction and Family law. Prior to joining Legis, He worked for a leading family law firm for 5 years as their outdoor clerk and administrative assistant.

Andrew’s responsibilities include liaising with the court, professional and lay clients, facilities management and marketing.

He’s been noted for his professionalism and work ethic and in his free time is a keen runner and reader.

Justin graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Bcs in Psychology with Criminology. He also studied a Law and Legal Masters for a year at Nottingham Law school. Justin is an experienced Legal Administrator, working in a wide variety of Barristers’ Chambers including roles as a Clerk and Knowledge Resource Assistant. He also briefly worked at a commercial solicitors firm. Justin’s responsibilities include liaising with the court, professional and lay clients, dealing with new enquiries and negotiating fees.

Justin has been noted for his enthusiasm, work ethic and administrative skills. In his free time he is a musician and goalkeeper.

Fayez is a highly experienced commercial solicitor and is recognised in complex international contracts, intellectual property, data protection, debt and finance.

He advises well-known international luxury and UK’s top retailers, innovative start-ups/online businesses and brand owners. This includes advice on digital media, emerging technologies and commercial contractual matters, coupled with expertise in consumer protection, data protection, comparative advertising and regulatory and content issues.

Sarah joined Chambers in 2016 as a practice manager but moved into the role of Paralegal in 2022.

She achieved a First Class in her Law LLB and is currently studying the SQE on a part-time basis at BPP Law School, with aspirations of becoming a solicitor. Sarah assists counsel on a wide range of matters, from Criminal to Civil litigation, as well as Family Law matters. Having worked in the legal sector since 2016, Sarah is very well versed in the legal system, liaising with various solicitors, counsel, and government agencies.

Sarah has always been very client focused and has exceptional client-care skills.

Before starting his role at Legis Chambers, Adam successfully completed his BPC at the University of Law. He had also worked as a volunteer at the Support Through Court Clinic, where he helped litigants with Family Law matters, including divorce and childcare cases, as well as those involved in personal injury claims or facing eviction from their homes.

Adam is currently assisting counsels in chambers with researching, taking notes, drafting and shadowing hearings in most of Chambers’ practice areas, including family, immigration, and civil litigation.

Adam has been known to be welcoming and very client-focused. In addition to English, Adam also converses fluently in Punjabi, Urdu, and Kashmiri.

Shaban has over 30 years experience as a qualified lawyer. He graduated in law from Pristina University in the former Yogoslavia, now Kosovo. He later qualified as a professional lawyer in that country.  His professional qualification has now been recognised by the Law Society of England and Wales.

In Yugoslavia, Shaban worked as a commercial lawyer for a leading agricultural company and later, in 1990, started his own law practice.  This involved him in a very broad spectrum of work, extending beyond what is now Kosovo to Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Vojvodina Montenegro, North Macedonia and Slovenia.

Since coming to the UK in 1992, Shaban first started working as a legal interpreter with various law firms and in the courts. For some clients, including Irving & Co Solicitors, Hoshi & Co Solicitors and Baker Jayacodi, he worked as a legal representative. For the Medical Foundation (now Freedom from Torture) he worked as an interpreter, group worker for unaccompanied children and legal case worker. His other clients include Peter Kandler& Co Solicitors, Fisher Meredith Solicitors, Law & Justice, UK Law Solicitors, Barnados as well as the NHS. His particular interests are immigration, family and criminal law.

Shaban is fluent in English, Albanian, Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian and also works as a professional interpreter in legal and clinical matters.
